Kyle Eastwood is an American jazz bassist. He studied film at the University of Southern California for two years before starting a music career.
In the early 90’s and after becoming a session musician, Kyle Eastwood formed the Eastwood Quartet. In 1998 he released his first solo album, “From There To Here,” a collection of Jazz standards and original compositions.
His latest album, “The View From Here” was released in 2013 by the Jazz village publisher.
Besides his solo albums, Eastwood also contributed with his music for eight of the films made by his father – the famous actor and director – Clint Eastwood.
The Rookie (1990), Mystic River (2002), Million Dollar Baby (2004), Flags of Our Fathers (2006), Letters from Iwo Jima (2006), Changeling (2008), Gran Torino (2008), and Invictus (2009).
Kyle Eastwood along with Michael Stevens was appointed in 2006 by the Chicago Film Critics Association Award for Best Original Score in the film “Letters from Iwo Jima.”
The Caldas nice Jazz is back in the Cultural and Congress Centre of Caldas da Rainha for one more edition. The 2015 edition brings us more dynamic and wishes to reach out for new audiences, just like in last year’s edition when Caldas Nice Jazz had concerts at spaces outside the CCC facilities.
